A man’s suspicion of his wife’s infidelity led him to take drastic action. He arrived home early from work, only to find his wife in a bathrobe with her hair disheveled. Demanding to know where her lover was, the man’s wife feigned innocence.
Undeterred, the man tore through the house, determined to find the man he believed was sleeping with his wife. His search finally led him to the second floor, where he spotted a man sitting in a Volkswagen outside.
Enraged, the man hurled the refrigerator out the window, striking the unsuspecting man below. However, his anger proved to be his downfall, as he suffered a fatal heart attack.
Upon arriving at the gates of Heaven, St. Peter inquired about the man’s untimely demise. The man explained how he had caught his wife cheating and thrown the refrigerator at her lover. Unimpressed, St. Peter condemned the man to hell.
Moments later, another man appeared before St. Peter, explaining that he had been sitting in his Volkswagen when a refrigerator came crashing down on him. St. Peter, recognizing the man as the alleged lover, sent him to hell as well.
The third man to arrive at the gates of Heaven was perplexed about his presence there. St. Peter asked him to explain, and the man replied that he had no idea why he was there, except that he had been sitting in a refrigerator when everything went black.
