A Year of Karma: How a Son’s Neglect Came Back to Haunt Him

Wendy had always hoped that her son, John, would be there to care for her in her golden years. But when she needed him most, he abandoned her, leaving her to fend for herself. Little did John know, his neglect would come back to haunt him in the most unexpected way.

It all began when Wendy’s legs started to go numb. She called John, frantic for help, but he brushed her off, claiming he was busy with work. He promised to send the neighbors to check on her, but he never followed through. Wendy was left to suffer alone, her condition worsening with each passing day.

As the months went by, Wendy’s legs became weaker, and she eventually lost the use of them. She was confined to a wheelchair, relying on others for even the simplest tasks. John would occasionally take her to physical therapy sessions, but he grew increasingly frustrated with the lack of progress.

When the doctors suggested an expensive surgery, Wendy asked John for help, but he refused, citing his own financial struggles. He didn’t even bother to visit her in the hospital after the surgery, leaving her to face the devastating news alone: the surgery had been unsuccessful, and she might never walk again.

But Wendy was a fighter. She refused to give up, and with the help of her friend Joanne’s nephew, Evan, she underwent another surgery. This time, it was a success, and Wendy was finally able to walk again.

Meanwhile, John’s life was falling apart. He had skipped rent payments, and his landlord, none other than Evan, had had enough. Wendy, who had been staying with Evan, urged him to take action against her son. And so, Evan served John with an eviction notice, giving him 15 days to vacate the premises.

As John sat on his couch, staring at the eviction notice, he realized that his neglect and selfishness had finally caught up with him. He had hit rock bottom, and it was all because of his own doing.

Wendy’s story serves as a reminder that our actions have consequences. If we neglect and disrespect our loved ones, especially our parents, we can expect karma to come back and haunt us. It’s a lesson John learned the hard way, but one that we can all learn from.
