Chris Harvey, an 87-year-old man, returned home from the hospital to find his house in disarray. His grandson, Peter, and Peter’s wife, Hannah, were supposed to be taking care of him, but instead, they had been secretly remodeling his house, getting rid of his belongings, and planning to take ownership of the property.
Chris’s daughter, Angelina, had sent Peter to check on his grandfather and prepare the house for his return. But Peter had other plans. He and Hannah had been plotting to take advantage of Chris’s illness and get their hands on his property.
When Chris arrived home, he was shocked to find his furniture on the front lawn and his house empty. But he pretended not to notice and thanked Peter and Hannah for their help. Little did they know, Chris had overheard their conversation and was planning his revenge.
Over the next few weeks, Peter and Hannah continued to remodel the house, thinking they would soon be the owners. But Chris was secretly revising his will, planning to leave the house to charity instead.
The final blow came when Chris hosted a housewarming party and revealed his plan to Peter and Hannah’s friends. He exposed their scheme and told them to get out of his house. Peter and Hannah were left embarrassed and ashamed.
Chris lived for another 11 years, and as he had planned, his house was sold, and the proceeds were donated to a charity for senior citizens. Chris’s story serves as a reminder that no one should feel entitled to someone else’s property and that sometimes, cutting off toxic family members is the best option for one’s own well-being.
