On a ranch, three bulls lived together, each with their own unique personality and perspective. One day, they heard that a new bull was joining the ranch, and each of them had a different reaction.
The first bull, who had been on the ranch for five years, was determined to protect his herd of 100 cows. The second bull, who had been there for three years, was also keen to defend his 50 cows. The third bull, who had only been on the ranch for a year and had a small herd of 10 cows, was equally determined to keep what was his.
Just as they were discussing how to handle the newcomer, a massive 18-wheeler arrived, carrying the biggest bull they had ever seen. The new bull was enormous, weighing 4,700 pounds, and his presence was intimidating.
The first two bulls quickly offered to give up some of their cows to the new bull, but the third bull was not so willing. Despite his smaller size, he was fearless and determined to stand up for himself.
When the first bull advised him to give up some of his cows, the third bull replied, “Hell, he can have all my cows. I just want to make sure he knows that I’m a bull too.” This brave response earned him the respect of the other bulls, and a valuable lesson was learned.
Sometimes, it’s not the size or strength that matters, but the courage and determination to stand up for oneself. The third bull may have been the smallest, but he had the biggest heart, and his bravery earned him a special place among the other bulls.
