Mrs. Parks, a 6th-grade science teacher, posed an intriguing question to her class: “Which human body part can increase up to ten times its size when stimulated?” The room fell silent, with no one daring to respond.
That was until Mary, a feisty student, stood up and expressed her outrage. “This is an inappropriate question for 6th-graders!” she exclaimed. “I’m going to tell my parents, and they’ll report you to the principal!”
Undeterred, Mrs. Parks calmly repeated the question, seeking a genuine response from her students. Mary’s reaction was priceless – her mouth agape, she whispered to her classmates, “She’s going to get in so much trouble!”
The teacher, however, remained composed and encouraged the class to participate. Finally, Billy mustered the courage to answer, “The pupil of the eye increases in size when stimulated.” Mrs. Parks commended Billy for his correct response.
Then, she turned her attention to Mary, offering some sage advice: “You have a few things to learn, young lady. Firstly, your mind is wandering down the wrong path. Secondly, you didn’t do your homework. And lastly, one day you’ll be disappointed to discover that not everything is as scandalous as you think.”
