A Mother’s Tough Decision

Ellen and her husband David were thrilled when their daughter Lisa announced her engagement to Ric. They had always been supportive of Lisa’s decisions, and they welcomed Ric into their family with open arms.

However, things took a turn for the worse when Ric’s parents moved in with Lisa and Ric. Ellen was shocked when Ric’s mother told her that they wouldn’t be invited to the wedding, but they would still be expected to pay for it. Ellen was devastated and felt disrespected by her future in-laws.

When Ellen confronted Lisa about the situation, Lisa sided with her in-laws, saying that she would respect their decision. Ellen was heartbroken and felt like she was losing her daughter.

But what Ellen’s family didn’t know was that she still owned the house that Lisa, Ric, and his parents were living in. Ellen had bought the house for Lisa as a gift, but she had never transferred the ownership to Lisa’s name.

Ellen decided to take drastic measures and told the family that they had 10 days to leave the house. When they refused, Ellen and her husband sold the house, leaving Lisa and Ric to find a new place to live.

Ellen’s decision was motivated by a desire to teach her future in-laws a lesson in boundaries. She felt like they had disrespected her and her family, and she wasn’t going to stand for it.

In the end, Lisa and Ric stayed together, but they never got married. Ellen’s relationship with her daughter was strained for a while, but they eventually made amends. Ellen’s decision to sell the house had been a tough one, but she felt like it was necessary to stand up for herself and her family.
