A disturbing incident has left a community in shock after a dog was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Hayden Howard’s English Mastiff, Jackson, was playing in the backyard when he suddenly became ill. Initially, Hayden thought Jackson had numerous bug bites, but a closer inspection revealed a horrifying reality.
Jackson had been shot multiple times, leaving him with numerous gunshot wounds. Hayden was shocked and immediately rushed Jackson to the veterinarian. The vet discovered a large number of small bullets fired from a BB pistol, with some still lodged in Jackson’s body.
The veterinarian had to shave most of Jackson’s fur to remove the plastic shells, extracting 27 bullets in total. Unfortunately, 20 more bullets had to be left in Jackson’s body. The vet also found 20 other bullet holes throughout Jackson’s small frame, totaling almost 70 gunshot wounds.
The police were called, and an investigation led them to a neighboring yard, where they found a rifle, ammunition, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. A BB pistol and pellets were also discovered, linking the neighbor to the horrific crime.
