Tammy Slaton, star of the reality show “1000-Lb Sisters,” has reached an amazing weight loss milestone. She has lost a huge amount of weight and her life has changed completely.
In a recent Instagram video that TLC shared, Tammy stepped on the scale and saw that she weighed an amazing 281.2 pounds. She was very proud of herself because this was a big drop from her usual weight of 303 pounds.
“Congratulations, that’s good!” her brother Chris Combs exclaimed with joy. She joked, “I’m the baby sister, I’m not the “big” baby sister no more.” Tammy couldn’t believe she weighed less than Chris now. Chris was proud to see Tammy’s growth and said he never thought the day would come when she would be smaller than him.

On the other hand, Tammy’s journey has had some hurdles. Her plastic surgeon, Dr. Brad Turner, told her she wasn’t ready for skin removal surgery yet during their interview. Even though she was upset, Dr. Turner told her that she would be ready for the operation after another six months to a year of steady weight loss.
Since having bariatric surgery in July 2022, Tammy has come a long way. She has lost a lot of weight and is now 725 pounds lighter than she was before the surgery. She’s been happy about small wins like being able to walk without help and fit into normal cars.
Being responsible for her actions has become very important to Tammy’s progress. She said, “I got this way because of myself.” I let it get out of hand, but I know I can fix it. “I need to.” Her family and doctors, like Dr. Eric Smith, are happy with how far she has come.

Along with Tammy’s weight loss, Dr. Smith was proud of other things she had done that had changed her life, like becoming healthy and happier. The story of Tammy’s journey shows how strong and determined she is.
Her fans can’t wait to see how far Tammy gets on her journey to a better life. With each success, she encourages others to take charge of their own lives, showing that change is possible if you work hard and stay committed.
It’s important to remember that every step forward, no matter how small, is important. She has a new lease on life because she is dedicated to her health, and she’s only just beginning.
